LEFTOVERS FROM THE DANCEFLOOR
A remembrance of Gianni Bergamelli

Bergamo Jazz remembers Gianni Bergamelli, painter and musician who passed away in August 2025, an important figure in Bergamo's jazz life, also as a pianist alongside Gianluigi Trovesi and many other musicians. In particular, his pictorial art remains an example of visionary mixing and matching of painting and music: many of his paintings in fact combine the two forms of expression through material techniques and collage, with photographs also being placed on the canvas. Gianni Bergamelli has often collaborated with Bergamo Jazz, signing the posters for numerous editions of the Festival. The exhibition features a selection of recent works: the title Avanzi di Balera è the one Gianni Bergamelli himself had conceived for his next exhibition.
