Bergamo Jazz celebrates, as is by now customary, the International Jazz Day sponsored by UNESCO with an open air concert in one of Città Alta's symbolic locations, Piazza Mascheroni. It will feature the tried and tested trio of one of the brightest new talents of Italian jazz, guitarist Eleonora Strino, a refined soloist capable of reinventing with fresh ideas. Having completed her studies between Naples and Amsterdam, Eleonora Strino has launched a career that has seen her rub shoulders with experienced musicians such as, among others, the Americans Greg Cohen and Joey Baron, with whom she recorded the I Got Strings album. February 2025 saw the release of Matilde, with Claudio Vignali on piano, Giulio Corini on double bass and Zeno De Rossi on drums. In 2022, Eleonora Strino took part in Ornella Vanoni's “Donne e Musica” tour, the last tour of the recently deceased artist. INTERNATIONAL JAZZ DAY date Location Piazza Mascheroni Ticket from
